TIFF 2026 is fully underway, but I stepped away from the action to watch a documentary at the Hot Docs Cinema. American Doctor (trailer) was on my radar for a bit, but it just worked out that the screening this weekend was the only one that I was able to attend. Here is the description from the Hot Docs Cinema website:
Three US doctors on the ground in Gaza risk everything to save lives and expose the horrors they encounter. Despite their differing backgrounds—Palestinian, Jewish and Zoroastrian—the physicians are steadfast in providing emergency medical care amid a growing humanitarian crisis while at the same time demanding action and accountability from their government.
