Huh. So yesterday, it was brought to my attention that GST is only 6% now. I gotta tell you, the view from the clouds is pretty nice though. I gotta try to be more aware.
[Flashback to just over a week ago, while in a jewellery store on Queen West, I remember a saleslady telling two tourist customers that they could get "tax-back" from their purchase. And that tax was 14%. at the time, I remember thinking, "hmmm...that's weird. Why's the saleslady saying 14% and not 15%?" But I didn't think anything more of it. Now I understand.]
