It was only today (sometimes I'm a little slow...) that I realized something. I bought a big loaf of pumpernickel bread a couple days ago. It was $1.99. A similar loaf in Swtizerland would have cost anywhere between 4CHF and 6CHF. That's a pretty big difference. Mind you, I only bought bread from a bakery in Europe. (P.S. I miss bakery goods. 1.80CHF pain au chocolats...sigh.)
I wonder if Toronto bakery prices are comparable to Neuch bakery prices.
Or if Loblaws is comparable to Migros. I'm guessing that maybe it'd be comparable to Co-op and Loblaws would be comparable to a cheaper chain.
